Genesis:
Sudanese Petroleum Pipeline Co. Ltd. is a subsidiary company of Ministry of Petroleum & Gas, pioneering in petroleum products pipeline transport and one of the significant pillars of petroleum industry in Sudan. Established in 1976, the company has constructed the first petroleum products pipeline with 8" diameter and a distance of 815 km. between Port Sudan & Khartoum.
Thereafter, in 2005 another pipeline with 12" and 741 km. distance between Alrawyan (Algaily Refinery) and Port Sudan was added to export surplus gasoline and lines were developed to operate in both directions of export & import.
Since its inception, the company has pumped over 20 million tons of petroleum products through the pipeline.
